Hope and Faith Community Centre
Rooted in Bocha, Mutare. Bringing faith, learning and practical support together.
A MOMMY project supporting women, children and the wider community through education, skills and shared purpose.

A place for hope, faith and community
Hope and Faith Community Centre is part of Mothers on Ministry Mission for Yeshua’s work in Bocha, Mutare, Zimbabwe. Its story grew from a desire to put faith into action: creating a place where women, children and families can come together, learn and support one another.
The project has developed around land granted to MOMMY and the renovation of an existing house into a community space. Education, practical skills and care for women and girls are at the heart of its vision.
Learning and opportunity
The centre’s education work includes early childhood development and Legacy Elementary School. The school’s opening was celebrated in 2024, marking an important step in the project’s journey. Its purpose is to help children build a foundation for learning within a caring, faith-centred community.

Practical skills for women
The centre’s website describes small-scale activities in knitting, farming and baking. These reflect a focus on sharing useful skills and encouraging women to develop their abilities and explore ways to support themselves and their families.
Dignity for women and girls
The I Bleed Freedom Bag campaign addresses period poverty through awareness and access to hygiene supplies. It forms part of the centre’s wider concern for dignity, wellbeing and participation in everyday life.
